2012 Lincoln County Mandatory 4-H Club/Group Training & Club Officer Training for 4-H Groups, Club Officers and Club Leaders
Insuring that 4-H members have a quality experience is Priority No. 1 for Wisconsin. 4-H Volunteers are the backbone of the 4-H experience. It is critical that volunteers have the support, tools and training to be able to fulfill their role. The purpose of the annual trainings being developed, adopted and required by the Wisconsin 4-H are to reach that goal. One volunteer adult leader from each 4-H club/group is required to attend each year but all leaders are encouraged to come to network, learn what is new and to get some tips on improving 4-H.
At this year’s training, “Project Leaders that Make a Difference”, youth and adult volunteers will learn critical elements to assist project leaders to make 4-H project experiences more effective and to make a difference in the learning for 4-H youth. Topics include identification and use of learning styles, effective use of the Experiential Learning Model in developing life skills and project learning, supporting 4-H members in setting goals and developing plans to reach those goals. Projects are a tool for youth to gain the essential elements of positive youth development. This hands-on lesson enhances the project experience and increases the confidence in volunteers in project leadership roles.
The training will be held on Saturday, February 4th starting at 9:00 a.m. in the Lincoln County Service Center.
The morning will go as follows:
9:00 a.m. Adults: How to make the 4-H Charter process easier?
