The Lincoln County 4-H Leaders’ Association, Inc. and University of Wisconsin-Extension 4-H Youth Development program are pleased to offer children the opportunity to participate in a 4-H after school club during the following after school programs: “After the Bell” program at Prairie River Middle School, Jefferson Elementary School, St. Francis School, Tomahawk Kinship’s Kins Klub, Trinity Lutheran School, and Washington Elementary School. Yvette Chieves, 4-H After School Club Coordinator, will be serving as the leader for this club.
At each club meeting youth will conduct a short business meeting and then participate in a 4-H project activity. More information about each of these clubs including meetings dates can be found in the informational letter below for each club.
Funding to make these clubs possible is received from the Safe and Stable Families grant through Lincoln County and from the Lincoln County 4-H Leaders’ Association, Inc.
To enroll your child(ren) in one of these 4-H After School Club, please go to our online enrollment system at http://wi.4honline.com, setup a new profile and then follow the instructions to complete the enrollment information. You will find step by step instructions on our Youth Enrollment page. To assist families who may not have access to the internet or may not be comfortable using this online system, Holly Hartwig, club leader, has paper enrollment forms that can be completed and returned to the appropriate after school program or brought to any club meeting. If your child(ren) are already members of a community 4-H club, they may also enroll in this 4-H after school club by adding this as a second club to their online enrollment. If your child(ren) are unable to join this After School Club or interested in joining a community 4-H club, we have several in Lincoln County. A complete list with contact information can be found on our 4-H Clubs in Lincoln County page.
As a member of the 4-H After School Club, your child will receive the 4-H newsletter, Lincoln County 4-H Express. This newsletter is our main form of communication with every family in the 4-H program. It is filled with important information about upcoming events and opportunities that 4-H members and their families may be interested in. You will be receiving the 4-H Express every two months. For up to the minute information about 4-H opportunities go to our blog at http://fyi.uwex.edu/lincolncounty4h/, and subscribe to receive a weekly email of new opportunities.
