The Crafty Artist Group

The Crafty Artist Leadership Group is the Lincoln 4-H project group dedicated to teaching the skills needed to make usable art – home décor, jewelry, wearable art and all the hundreds of cool items you see at the fair, craft shows or even online!

All of our projects that we do are designed for older youth — we often use hot glue and sharp cutting or power tools.  All participants have to be able to use these things with minimal supervision.  Most of our members are adult-youth combinations who both participate and learn this new skill in order to go out and share what they have learned.

We supply the ideas and tools, you supply the creativity and energy and wonderful art is created!  We are open to all, youth and adults, 4-H members and non-4-H members.  Project cost is usually $5 a project, due at the meeting; however, advanced registration is required to ensure that we have the correct amount of supplies.  Members third grade and under need to be assisted by an adult.  All meetings are held at the Lincoln County Service Center at 801 N. Sales Street in Merrill in Lower Level Conference Room 156 unless noted.

Current schedule:

  • March:  No meeting in March
  • April:  04/22/2017 during Tomahawk Project Discovery Day
  • May:  05/13/2017 – LCSC from 9 am (Meeting cancelled due to no registration.)

For all of these meeting we will need a minimum of three participants or the meeting will be cancelled.   Put them down on your schedule and check out our pinterest page.  We will be updating projects to the page as we go along.
