Due to Lincoln County budget cuts Extension Lincoln County does not have a Health and Well-Being Educator at this time. Please follow the links below to answer your questions.

As life grows busier and more challenging for families, many parents are looking for alternative approaches for accessing parenting resources and support.  Digital technology – computers, smart phones and tablets – have created powerful and accessible new ways for educating and supporting parents.  With this in mind, UW-Extension created a website, https://parenting.extension.wisc.edu where parents can access well-researched, quality information about parenting and family relationships.  This site is organized in categories based on the age of the child.

The Lincoln County Parent Support Network is a local network whose mission is to promote the health and safety of families through leadership, referrals and education.  Like them on Facebook at www.facebook.com/PSNofLincolnCounty  as they post information regularly of opportunities and resources of interest to Lincoln County families.

This network also publishes a Family Resource Guide for Lincoln County Families with young children.  Below is the latest edition of this guide.

The Parent Support Network recently partnered with the Healthy Minds for Lincoln County coalition to develop the Lincoln County Parent Pact.  This pact provides parents with guidelines about alcohol, bullying, weapons, cellphone and Internet use, and much more. Conversation starters to use with other parents when your children and their friends are at each other’s houses.  This Parent Pact is endorsed by many community agencies and groups.   Funding for this project was provided by Merrill Area United Way.
