MASS
The purpose of the Lincoln County Market Animal Show and Sale Project, Inc. (MASS) is:
- To provide 4-H, FFA, and other county youth group members an opportunity to have market livestock projects evaluated.
- To provide incentive and to encourage greater participation in livestock feeding project.
- To recognize members who do quality work in selecting, feeding, and showing livestock projects.
- To teach a greater understanding of meat animal evaluation, livestock husbandry, and ethincal showmanship.
- To establish rules and enforce compliance of regulations for participation in the Lincoln County Market Animal Show and Sale Project.
- To examine and act upon issues and concerns expressed by the membership or Board.
Bylaws of the Lincoln County Market Animal Show and Sale Project
2011-12 Information:
For Beef project members, the mandatory meeting is November 14th at 7 p.m. in the upper meeting room at the Lincoln County Service Center located at 801 N. Sales Street in Merrill. The Beef initial weigh-in was relocated to Gold Medal Ranch located off Hwy K just north of the Hwy C intersection. The ranch is located on the right side of the highway. Animals will be weighed in between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 3rd.
For Sheep and Swine project members, the mandatory meeting is Monday, March 12th beginning at 7 p.m. in the upper level assembly room at the Lincoln County Service Center located at 801 N. Sales Street in Merrill. If youth are unable to attend, project member must notify a MASS Board member prior to the meeting. The Sheep and Swine initial weigh-in will be held on Saturday, April 14th from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Gold Medal Ranch located off Hwy K just north of the Hwy C intersection.
